Saturday February 23rd: Pompano Park has 3 races from their 9-race card with BEST BET rating.
Race #5 is one of them with Rick Plano in the bike behind #5 Ozzie’s Bad Boy. Post 5 is the most prolific gate position at Pompano, and with a 40-point spread over the next closely grouped competitors, should be able to pull off the victory, and perhaps offer some decent value in the process.
Race #3 looks like a solid play here. #1 Killin Them Softly has a nice ratings spread over the second choice, and with top rider Luis Saez should get the job done.
Check out the report to see how you can identify the tiered position of the contenders. More than 5 1/2 points separate our 3rd and 4th picks making the top 3 horses standouts in this race. For your exotics, I would throw in the next two (#3 & #5). Even though there’s only a narrow spread between our 5th and 6th picks, the 6th pick (#2) has an unrated rider and I see no reason to go more than 5 deep here.

This race featured a horse with a 35 point spread over the second choice, in spite of a lower-rated driver. He got the job done with a sweet $8.50 win price, and Exacta of $51, and trifecta of $84.20 (partly due to the fact the second place finisher – our 4th pick – also had a lower-rated driver). Remember, our point ratings factor in every possible handicapping component and weigh everything based on a proven model for each track. Trust, and be consistent and disciplined, and you will CASH!
Oh, and by the way, we also tabbed the $5.60 winner in race #2, for a straight-up Daily Double (5/5) of $30.
